Election & Positions

Once a year in May we have our main election. The event is called Annual General Meeting (AGM). On that day we elect the new board for our fiscal year. We have 8 positions in the board and all Active Member can vote for the candidates. You can apply by sending us an motivation letter right in time. The deadline will be publish on our website and other social media, if you’re still uncertain, don’t hesitate to ask.

Also, if we don’t get a full board in May, there can be another election during the year, so stay tuned.
We recommend every candidate to join the team already before they apply. So you can see already the structures and some insights of the network. You can also experience which position might fit best to you.

President

  • Leads and manage the team like a pro

Vice President

You’ll be the heart of your section. The mom or the dad: Taking care of all our members and human resources. Recruiting is one of your tasks but also that we have regular productive meetings. Since we love the team spirit in ESN, you try to keep this high with cool team building events - we can’t wait for all your ideas.
But that not all: You will be the voice of the section in national votings. We discuss as a group what we would like to vote for and you will be present in the elections to reprsent us. So, some work travel might be included.

Treasurer

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Communication Manager

Just look around: The website will be your new playground. Keep everything up to date and get your head into some cool new projects here.
New blog posts, event calendar, social media campaigns - What comes up to your mind?
Further you stay in contact with other local CM and the national board about latest updates. Since you will be the head of the Communication Committee you can think about our social media strategy and organize the structure of our social media performance. The social media is one of the first things students recognize from us, so what is your idea of the first impression we should make?

Vice Communication Manager

You didn’t post anything today? Perfect! Because you can use all your creative energy in creating content for our section. From event promotion, to post about highlights of the last event or month or also upcoming trips - it’s all yours. Instagram is your natural habitat with some expeditions to TikTok maybe or BeReal and YouTube. You will be the contact person between students and the board: Answering questions about student life, events or ESNcard will be soon your expertise.

Event Coordinator

- Identify and engage potential partners who can contribute to our organization's growth

- Cultivate existing partnerships through regular communication and relationship-building activities

- Negotiate partnership agreements and contracts, ensuring mutual benefits for all parties involved

Web Project Administrator

Are you a web wizard with a knack for organization? Join us as the Web Project Administrator at ESN Gothenburg! Dive into the digital realm, juggling technical wizardry with ticketing system finesse. From squashing bugs to sprinkling some magic on our websites, you'll be the maestro behind the scenes, keeping everything running smoothly. Embrace your inner admin hero and help us make waves in the online world!

Partnership Manager

You've definitely been in some of the beautiful events we do throughout the year! Do you want to be the one responsible for next year's events and create unforgettable experiences for international students? Any fun idea you have, you can make it a reality!

But what makes an event great, is the people! And you're not alone. You'll have a whole events committee full of active members to help out, and even an events support coordinator!
You'll organise and coordinate this little family so that together you'll create even better events!
