Everything from participating to organising ESN Göteborg events!

You can sit back, relax, and simply enjoy all our events! Or you are hyped, enjoy helping others and want to form some social connections through shared projects - then actively volunteer at ESN Göteborg!

Local ESN-work is all based on volunteer level. There are no special requirements for joining our team. To be exact - we are more than happy about anyone supporting us!

Who can join?

The name “Erasmus Student Network” is a huge hint. However, we are not exclusively for Erasmus students. All international students, regardless of exchange or full time, as well as local students, are highly welcome in our network. In general we are open to any young person, who’s interested in joining one of the biggest international families. We also have an alumni network, to keep the spirit alive after your stay abroad.

ESN activities 

As you might have recognized we organize a bunch of different activities. Sometimes you have to sign up or buy a ticket for our events but in general everyone can join the activities. The first step is to get in touch with ESN by joining our events, have a chat with us and have an amazing time. We would be happy if we see you at several events but it’s completely up to you, your interests and your schedule which activities you're gonna join.

Member

If you like spending time with us, we can recommend you to become an Member. This happens by buying our ESNcard. It doesn’t change any of your responsibilities but opens some new opportunities. First and foremost you get amazing ESNcard discounts, especially with our local partners. As an Active Member you have the right to vote in the annual general meeting (AGM), as well as for other important local decisions and you can help us to improve our work and develop ourselves in the best possible way. 

Volunteer / Active Member

For several events we need people who help us with preparation, organization or the post-processing. We announce in advance which tasks need to be completed, then you can sign up and support our main organizers. You can do this job once for a specific event that you are interested in or do it regularly for different events. Your work will be highly appreciated by getting exclusive extras at events or special team building events ;) 

Committee Member

When you volunteer regularly you could also join one of our committees. The advantage here is that you get way more information in advance and can actively be involved in planning future events. You can give us ideas and suggestions for improvements of our work. Furthermore, you can take part in regular meetings and always be up to date with  news about ESN. At this point you are also more than welcome to dive deeper into the whole idea and network of the ESN.

Board Member

The heart of our local section! You can apply for one of our eight board positions and at our annual general meeting (AGM) all active members can vote for you. You can get elected for the board for one fiscal year. According to your position you will have certain responsibilities and have the chance to be the head of a committee. You should attend our meetings regularly and be actively involved in our network. However, your involvement is up to your own possibilities and creativity. As a board member, you also get the chance to attend national and international events!
