What is the ESNcard?
Forget about “american express gold” it’s the ESNcard, which gives you VIP status!
By getting this card you become an active member of our section (or any other section, depending where you get it). The ESNcard gives you the right to vote in every official election and you can influence the work and development of your section.

Do I need the ESNcard if I only stay for one semester or even shorter?
We are highly recommending it, because it’s valid for one entire year. Even if you go back to your home country before you can use the international discounts and explore the local discounts at home, if there is another ESN section. Getting the discount is not limited to the city where you got your card originally.

How much does the ESNcard cost?
The price is 180 SEK

According to the validity and the amount of discounts, we think it’s a really good deal!
As always in Sweden you can by card for it. Payment doesn't need to be done in advance, we do it on the spot, immediatetly when you receive the physical card.

Who can get an ESNcard?
The general ESNcard is not bound to specific requirements, you just need to have a student status and study or do an internship abroad.

But to be a bit more precise: If you want to get the ESNcard here in Göteborg you need to be either an Erasmus student (means: your home university is not in Sweden) or you are a full time international student.

Can I join ESN events without having an ESNcard?
Our events are generally open for everyone who enjoys an international environment.
But for all ticketed events we guarantee an discount for ESNcard holders. So it’s worth it to have it.

After 1-2 days you can use your card for all online discounts and for the local discounts, you just have to fill in the free fields on the card, add the most beautiful picture of you and then you can use it immediately.
